Relaxation Massage:
Relaxation massage promotes relaxation, sedates the nervous system, encourages sleep, relieves stiff and tired joints. Long term benefits of having massage will lower blood pressure, improve circulation and improve muscle suppleness. This treatment can either be taken as a full body massage or a back, neck and shoulder massage.
Deep Tissue Massage:
Deep tissue massage is designed to relieve pain and muscle tension. This type of massage is beneficial because it reaches the deepest layer of muscle, fascia (connective tissue surrounding the joints and tendons) The goal is to break down adhesions (areas of tension in the muscle). These are important to address as they cause pain, inflammation and limit motion of the muscles and joints.
Deep tissue massage can help alleviate pain, recover from injuries (sports, whiplash, trauma), increase mobility, decrease muscle tension, recover from repetitive stresses such as sports, computer use, lifting etc.
This treatment can either be taken as a full body massage or as a back, neck and shoulder massage
Manual Lymphatic Drainage:
Lymphatic drainage is a form of massage. Unlike other forms of massage, lymphatic drainage utilises a very light pressure combined with soft pumping movements in the direction of the lymph nodes.
MLD is highly recommended for Post- VASER Lipo and post op patients.
MLD helps unlock and drain the lymphatic system, it helps reduce swelling as well as boosting the immune system. The treatment is very relaxing and you should feel no discomfort.
Your surgeon will recommend the appropriate number of treatments which may range from 5 -10. Treatment usually starts withing the first two weeks and 3-4 sessions per week is recommended.
MLD is also good for boosting the immune system, especially if you have been run down or are recovering from colds and flu.
Aromatherapy Massage:
Aromatherapy massage uses essential oils derived from plants to achieve therapeutic benefits, each oil has its own healing properties. Aromatherapy massage is a bespoke treatment tailored to suit your needs. Essential oils are blended with a carrier oil before your treatment begins.
Aromatherapy massage promotes relaxation and well-being, reduces stress and releases muscle pain.
Hot Stone Massage:
Hot stone massage melts away tension, eases muscle stiffness and increases circulation. Hot stone massage also promotes deeper muscle relaxation and has a sedative effect on the body. Traditional massage or deep tissue strokes are also used in this treatment but are very much tailored to suit your needs. The stones are used to massage the body which relieves pain, increases flexibility and reduces stress and tension. Aromatherapy oils can be used in this treatment.
Aromatherapy Ice & Glow Hot Stone Massage:
This one hour treatment uses a bespoke blend of essential oils which are good for tight muscles. It is a combination treatment including deep tissue massage and hot stones to release tight, overworked muscles.
Alongside the hot stones, Absolute Aromas Ice & Glow Cooling gel is applied to areas of tension giving a cooling effect.
(contains menthol, wintergreen, lavender and aloe vera) which is indicated for muscular tension, aching joints and tired limbs.
